Regional Director of Sales - APAC

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group's Professional Division is partnered with an established multinational intelligent automation platform that's transforming the world of finance. Our distinguished client is looking for a Regional Director of Sales APAC with extensive experience selling into the region to lead our growing Kuala Lumpur office. In this role you will take ownership for the whole APAC region with an emphasis on leading our Sales team and results. You will be responsible for hiring, building, and leading a world-class team that will be ready to identify, negotiate and close enterprise deals in the APAC market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • This role will report to our Global VP of Sales in the European office and work closely together with the rest of our Management team in Europe and US
  • Responsible for hiring and managing a team of Account Executives and Business Development Representatives and after Sales support in Kuala Lumpur.
  • Develop strategic sales plans and account strategies; segment, prioritize, and grow revenue within the APAC region.
  • We want someone who can help the team with every stage of the sales cycle and optimize our close rates and conversion rates by closely monitoring forecasts and activities
  • Own the recruitment and onboarding of high performing Account Executives
  • Building local partnerships and relationships with regional software vendors or resellers.
  • In this role you will work cross-functionally together with the rest of the sales teams and colleagues from customer success, marketing and professional services teams.
  • As the most senior leader in the region, you will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of other teams that are reporting into the European office but will have a dotted line to you.


Job Requirements:

  • Prior senior management experience with demonstrable skills in management and a proven track record of hiring, developing and retaining talent.
  • 8+ years' experience in Software Sales with a proven track record of (over) achieving sales targets in a SaaS B2B environment in the APAC region.
  • Experience in building and executing GTM plans for the APAC region considering the nuances of different territories.
  • Experience in leading a team and a passion for their coaching and development
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work effectively in an ever-changing scale-up environment
  • Comfortable working on site from our Kuala Lumpur office as well as traveling to our Tokyo office and to clients in the region.
  • Fluent in English, any other major languages used in the region is a plus
