Monroe Consulting Group, an executive search firm, is recruiting on behalf of global supply chain solutions company. Our client is seeking a Structured Trade Finance (STF) Analyst for a temporary onsite role based in Makati City, Philippines.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring, tracking and supporting of loan management and cash management.
  • Payments to suppliers and corresponding collateral management.
  • Preparing and presenting weekly reports for loans, cash and working capital assets.
  • Monitor collateral haircuts, concentration limits and other risk metrics to manage collateral exposures effectively.
  • Process and monitor existing trade flows ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported.
  • Administer loan management including timely surplus cash withdrawals, loan drawdowns, loan rollovers and repayments in co-ordination with Accounting, Treasury, Trading and relevant lenders.
  • Manage and monitor existing portfolio utilisation for lead banks, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with CZ subsidiaries in supporting local financing requirements.
  • Analyze and structure trade finance solutions, including but not limited to LCs, trade loans, receivables, inventory and supply chain financing.
  • Evaluate the financial strength of clients and counterparties and assess risk factors related to structured trade transactions.
  • Perform due diligence on trade finance deals, identify risks and propose mitigation strategies. This includes reviewing financial statements, trade contracts and legal documentation.
  • Stay informed of industry trades, economic developments and regulatory changes that may impact trade finance. Prepare reports and recommendations for management.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in the trade finance function, recommending efficiencies and best practices.
  • Lead weekly calls with local teams presenting cash projections.

Key Job Requirements:

  • Strong motivation to learn about commodities and finance.
  • Graduate or post graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Law, Engineering, Agriculture or relevant work experience in the finance sector.
  • Fluency in English and Tagalog (both written and verbal).
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Robust skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  • Self-starter with the ability to use initiative for problem solving.
  • Resourceful, innovative and proactive.
  • Personable with the ability to build relationships and communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
