Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia's Finance & Accounting Division is recruiting on behalf of a leading agribusiness group in Asia. Our respected client is seeking for an experienced "Tax Manager" with exposure in Shared Service Centre (SSC) environment. to lead and advice all tax function for Malaysia.

Job summary
The ideal candidate will lead the group Malaysia's tax function reporting to group tax based in Singapore. Play a key role in developing the group's transfer pricing compliance team within the SSC. The role will be based in KL/Penang.

Job responsibilities:
* Tax Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement local tax strategies to align with the group's tax objectives and overall business goals. -
Coordinate and support project planning projects/initiatives with Group Tax.
* Tax Compliance and Reporting:
Responsible for all tax aspects of group's affiliates in Malaysia to ensure compliance with all tax regulations
and reporting requirements.
Manage and organize the preparation and submission of accurate and timely tax returns.
* Transfer Pricing:
Support Group Tax to build up a Centre of Excellence ("COE") of transfer pricing compliance team within the
SSC, who are responsible for the recurring preparation and review of transfer pricing compliance
documentation of various jurisdictions.
Support the ad-hoc transfer pricing projects and benchmarking analysis.
* Tax Dispute:
Manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities in Malaysia, including but not limited to the negotiation
with revenue authorities and resolving the issues effectively.

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting / Business, or related field.
  • Professional qualification like CPA / ACCA or others is a plus.
  • At least 8 years of working experience in tax area specifically in Malaysia.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to deal with both external and internal parties
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Self-motivated with passion and high integrity
  • Superior analytical and technical skills; problem solving driving by data/metrics.
