In this latest article, Avinash interviews to provide an insight into his working history and anticipates his future with Monroe Malaysia.

Please tell me about yourself

I am a chemical engineer turn headhunter with a passion towards driving success and change through talent resources. I began my career with Monroe in 2016 as a Recruitment Consultant with the Industrial desk. Monroe provided me a steep learning curve. Within a span of 4 years, I grew within the team to take up the roles of Senior Consultant, Assistant Division Head and eventually the Division Head of the largest division in Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia. In 2019 I had the opportunity to expand my portfolio and take up the growing technology sector by becoming a Cross Division Head. Within my time at Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, I have been a natural number two for the previous two management directors, supporting matters involving operations and management.

My other involvements include working on the marketing portfolio for the local office and driving new products into the market such as outplacement program.

What has your impact at Monroe been so far?

My greatest impact at Monroe would be expanding and growing the Industrial desk to become the highest contributing team within the local office and becoming a recognized brand within the manufacturing and engineering sector in Malaysia. While working with a team of highly ambitious and driven individuals we were able to set new records while providing the highest quality of services and experiences for our clients and candidates. That growth allowed me to lead the industrial desk as a satellite team and remain sustainable all while keeping core to Monroe’s practice and values. Other impacts include driving the Monroe brand, through our marketing, to make appearances within local reputable media channels to provide insights on recruitments and championing the Monroe brand within the Malaysia market. Through the well-developed Monroe system and business modal, I was also able to create value for a variety of my clients’ businesses through our headhunting and market mapping services. This allowed us to create a pool of clients whom had trusted our services and continued to partner and adapt with the organization’s growth. My recent impacts within the marketing portfolio was improving our SEO optimization as well as achieving the status of the preferred recruitment partner, accoladed by a number of independent sites.

What do you anticipate you will bring to the role of Managing Director?

I intend to continue the tradition and standards of Monroe Consulting Group that is embedded into my system. The recent pandemic has expedited technological advancement and the industrial revolution. Taking the helm as a leader during this time will require a more agile and persistent approach which have been my guiding principles that I intend to drive across in my team. Being a millennial leader in today’s market allows me to be more innovative, adaptable and able to keep up with continuously changing business environment ensuring we stay relevant and continue our rapid growth. The current Malaysia team has so much potential. I look forward to working closely with the team and being a catalyst to their and the organization’s success.
