Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company with a core focus on electrical products. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years' experience in electrical design for the job of Lead Design Engineer - Substation (Electrical). The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents.
- Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule.
- Seek and obtain spatial requirements and details of cut-outs and openings from the all discipline and incorporate into relevant Drawings.
- Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughtspersons & checking of design & sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client.
- Prepare Design Philosophy of Protection, Control, Signalling & Automation and review of Functional Description document.
- Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval
- Review of Vendor deliverables.
- Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks.
- Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements.
- Review BOQ and submit to contracts team and providing technical clarifications.
- Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks.
- Provide support & clarifications to the Site Execution team.
- Check pre-award evaluation of vendors (w.r.t. technical specifications requirement of the client) and forward the validation document to Supply Chain Management.
- Inspect equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation document of the vendor.
- Clarify issues w.r.t. the design & requirements of the client to the Site Execution Team.
- Collect inputs for project details (plot details, feeder arrangements etc.) from client & Project Engineering Manager.
- Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval
- Collect inputs for project details (General Arrangement Drawings) from Vendors
- Check deliverables such as Equipment layouts, Cable Routing Layout, Cable Tray Layout, Earthing Layout, lighting Layout, Lightning Protection Layout
- Submit requirement of man-hours for undertaking & reviewing of design & drawings of the project.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- Have detailed knowledge of Substation equipment and their Layouts.
- General awareness of Dialux and MS Office.
- Desirable awareness of ETAP, PSCAD & CYMGRD
- Have detailed knowledge of Substation equipment and their Layouts
- Have the understanding of primary / secondary of engineering activities covering SLD Preparation, Layout Engineering, Earthing, Cable Routing, Lighting, Lightning Protection, Cable Tray Routing, Schemes, Wiring Diagrams, SCADA & Control System.
- Have knowledge in CT / VT sizing calculations, battery sizing calculations, AC/DC schematic drawings etc.
- Advanced knowledge in Protection & Automation System in Substation.
- Capable of performing design & sizing calculations of Busbar, UPS, DG, LT Transformer, Earthing Conductor, calculations (Short circuit force, etc.).
- Have knowledge on National and International Codes and Standards.
