Our esteemed client is seeking a Sales Manager with over 5 years of experience in specialty chemical sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for account management, new business development, supplier expansion, and digitalization initiatives within the industry.
Job Summary
The Sales Manager will lead organic growth efforts by managing key accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and implementing sales strategies. They will also collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to drive expansion and digital transformation in line with market needs.
Key Responsibilities
Organic Growth
- Lead account management and business development efforts, setting goals and executing strategies to achieve them.
- Identify key decision-makers and build strong customer relationships to support retention and drive new revenue opportunities.
- Achieve monthly sales targets and market share growth through direct selling and performance monitoring.
- Develop organic growth with existing and new customers while managing stock levels and working capital.
- Implement segment-specific sales plans to drive revenue and margin growth through value-based selling.
- Manage and execute sales strategies for key accounts, driving customized solutions and managing market opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and key customers, ensuring business retention and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to align business strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal departments to maximize sales opportunities and maintain a detailed customer database.
- Work closely with the Business Unit Manager to expand the product portfolio and address product gaps.
Supplier Expansion
- Collaborate with Principals and Technical teams to innovate, respond to market needs, and implement improvement plans.
- Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to drive strategic alignment and mutual growth.
- Lead supplier expansion initiatives, including acquiring new suppliers, products, regions, and markets.
- Research and identify new markets aligned with SEA region growth strategies.
Digitalization
- Support the implementation of digital tools such as SalesForce, Einstein Analytics, and other B2B platforms in collaboration with the Digitalization Manager.
- Assist in developing customer-facing web platforms and digital experiences to enhance engagement and efficiency.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in specialty chemical sales for Beauty & Personal Care, Home Care, and I&I industries.
- Strong ability to lead technical discussions and provide problem-solving solutions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Strong persuasive abilities and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and energetic personality.
