Safety and Security Manager
Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of premier real estate firm dedicated to providing exceptional leasing services for both commercial and residential properties. Company is based in Parañaque.
Job Overview:
Responsible for the overall Security and Safety of our premises, assets, staff, and visitors. The senior property officer's responsibilities include patrolling the premises, setting up security controls, monitoring property access, investigating suspicious behavior, and enforcing company policies.
Responsibilities:
1. Daily Tasks:
- Conduct post-to-post inspections throughout the premises to ensure all areas are secure and in compliance with safety standards.
- Oversee and participate in daily huddles with the security team to discuss priorities, assignments, and any emerging issues.
- Attend daily guard mounting to brief and debrief inhouse and external security personnel, ensuring clarity on duties and expectations.
- Monitor the functionality of Surveillance Cameras and Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) daily to ensure optimal performance and immediate response capability in emergencies.
- Regularly prepare and update the property's security and safety report.
- Meet with external security officers and disseminate instructions.
- Assist other departments as deemed necessary.
- Conduct daily security audits.
2. Weekly Responsibilities:
- Attend regular property management meetings to provide security updates, insights, and recommendations to support overall facility management objectives.
- Conduct weekly audits of security equipment, including but not limited to radios, emergency lights, and security systems, etc.
- Coordinate with other department heads on a regular basis to align security strategies with operational needs and requirements.
- Prepare schedule of Security and Safety Department.
- Conduct weekly safety & security audit.
3. Monthly Responsibilities:
- Hold regular mentoring and coaching sessions with in-house security personnel to enhance skills, address concerns, and reinforce safety & security protocols.
- Arrange regular meetings with external security officers to discuss security updates, challenges, and strategic planning.
4. External Relations and Government Liaison:
- Establish and maintain rapport through monthly visits to government agencies such as the BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection), the PNP (Philippine National Police), the Paranaque LGU (Local Government Unit), and other stakeholders.
- Foster relationships to facilitate collaboration on security matters, regulatory compliance, and emergency response protocols.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and building codes pertaining to safety and security.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard residents, tenants, and property.
- Prepare and submit reports on security incidents, audits, and operational activities as required by management.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms. This includes investigating disturbances, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate actions to resolve conflicts, diffuse potentially dangerous situations, or notify the necessary authorities.
- Conduct emergency drills & exercises.
- Develop, implement, and maintain security, health, and safety policies and procedures in accordance with Philippine regulations.
- Implement Security Plans and Security Audits.
- Provide Safety Programs and lead the ERT (Emergency Response Team).
- Conduct regular inspections involving all safety aspects of the building.
- Check and Monitor External Security Deployment.
- Implement and monitor effective traffic management for the building.
- Evaluate security deployment and augmentation during events.
- Evaluate Technical Concerns and provide recommendations for CCTV, Traffic Systems, and other similar equipment.
- Following required procedures related to fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control, and other related investigations.
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures for reporting, and dealing with incidents when applicable
- Monitoring public access and ensuring the security of all personnel and visitors.
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree holder, Political Science, Criminology graduate is a plus.
- Security Certifications are a plus (e.g. CSP, CSMS, CPP, etc.)
- Qualified Safety Officer 2 or 3
- Minimum of five (5) years working experience in safety and security-related field like Hotel, Condominium, Malls, etc
- At least 3 years of experience in leading or supervising a team.
- Strong understanding of security technologies, risk management, and crisis response.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience with security equipment and surveillance systems.
